This is our second sailboat.  Our first was a Catalina 25 that we sailed in Florida for five years.  When we left Florida, we had to sell her.  We've waited a long time to get Clarity.  However, she was worth the wait.  We had her delivered to Florida from France.  After two months of commissioning, we sailed her to The Abacos, Bahamas.  There she waits.  When we're not sailing her, she is available for charter.

Yep, you got that right! The Swimming Pigs of the Abacos.

As always, the trip was awesome but too short.  Only two days with really good wind for sailing but we made the best of it.

This trip we sailed to Nunjack Cay, No Name Cay (Home to the Swimming Pigs), Hopetown, Tahiti Beach and Tiloo Cay.  While we anchored off The Lighthouse in Hopetown, we made some good use of our time.  Two trips up the mast in the bosun's chair (one to replace the WiFi extender antenna and a second trip up the mast just for fun! We also attended the Hopetown Children's Christmas Play. The kids did a great job!

Time spent at Tahiti Beach and Tillo Cay was disconnect time. Time to unwind, read and relax (well we always do all three). The sunsets were awesome (as always) and were each toasted with "sundowners".

Sometimes you just gotta take it all in! Sailing in the Bahamas is always a much needed respite from the hustle and bustle of day to day activities.  This trip was taken before we acquired S/V Clarity.  It was a fun charter to see and explore The Abacos before S/V Clarity became our second home.  There is much to see and do but, "Sometimes you just have to pet the whale." Stop and take it all in.  You can do both in The Bahamas!

Check out the lighthouse in Hopetown!

Climb the stairs if you dare!

Spend some time on the crowded beaches!

Take the SUV to the local hangout and meet up with new friends!

Or, just sit back and relax with a "sundowner" and bring a little Clarity back into your life!

Clarity was born in September 2016 at the Fountaine Pajot factory in La Rochelle, France.  She was then placed on a cargo ship and delivered to Ft Lauderdale, Florida.  Upon arrival in October 2016, she spent the next two months in the commissioning process.  She was handed over to us in December 2016 and we sailed her to The Abacos, Bahamas.  There she entered into charter service with Cruise Abaco located at the

Boat Harbor Marina in Marsh Harbor.  When we are not sailing her, she is available for charter with or without a Captain and Crew.

Here Clarity sits waiting to be put back together after delivery from La Rochelle, France.

 The work begins

Clarity getting her mast stepped - She's starting to look like a sailboat!

 Clarity gets her name!

Paul & Terry Valentic are the owners of S/V Clarity.  We reside in Texas but travel and sail every chance we get.  We're looking forward to the day when we can sail away and "travel the world at a walking pace".
